January 29 – February 1, 2026 | Brussels, Belgium
I’ll be heading to Brussels at the end of January for CentOS Connect 2026 and FOSDEM 2026.
CentOS Connect (January 29-30)
CentOS Connect is the premier contributor conference for the CentOS Project, happening as part of the FOSDEM Fringe. This year it’s at the DoubleTree Brussels in the Sycamore ballroom. The event features two days of in-depth discussion, hands-on learning, and networking focused on CentOS Stream, Special Interest Groups (SIGs), and the wider Enterprise Linux ecosystem.
The program includes 25-minute presentations on new developments in CentOS Stream and upstream projects, plus longer 40-minute deep dives. Returning for 2026 are dedicated 2-hour SIG meetups on Thursday morning.
Registration is free but encouraged: connect.centos.org
FOSDEM (January 31 – February 1)
FOSDEM is the largest gathering of free and open source software developers in Europe, with 8000+ attendees, 1216 speakers, and 71 tracks this year. It takes place at the ULB Solbosch Campus. No registration required – just show up!
If you’re sticking around after CentOS Connect, don’t miss the Distros Devroom on Sunday, February 1.
